Invloed als lezersconstructie. Conceptualisering en toetsing

Samenvatting

Abstract – This article presents a concept of influence that can be used as a tool for analyzing influence on a textual level. It considers intertextuality as a necessary condition for influence and proposes a reader-oriented model, based on the theories of Genette and Bloom. In this model, the presence of an intertextual link (in one work) functions as a frame for the reading of other texts by the same author. This view is theorized and is illustrated by means of the analysis of two poems from Moustafa Stitou. The first explicitly refers to Paul Celan, the second doesn’t, but can be read as influenced by Celan.
