By comparing the accounts of the cities in the Hanseatic league in Guelders and Overyssel the author could establish the true meanings of a few words which dictionaries and glossaries have described incorrectly. Furthermore, he has found in the Doesburg accounts of the first quarter of the fifteenth century some twenty terms that were not recorded until now and are registered in this article for the first time.
