Yura Hollander

Samenvatting

The Visio Philiberti has its origins in the Latin tradition. During the Middle Ages the text was repeatedly translated into the vernacular. This article focuses on the three known Middle Dutch translations of the Visio Philiberti. A comparison of these translations will portray the main differences between them. After this comparison, the manuscripts containing the texts are discussed. Thereby the study is placed within a broader historical perspective.
