Lezen in beweging. Over cinematografisch lezen
Samenvatting
Although Thomas Rosenboom’s Gewassen Vlees (1994) has been received and is often read as a historical novel, this article introduces an alternative reading: cinematographic reading, a way of reading that is evoked by the novel itself. A cinematographical close reading of an excerpt from the novel will demonstrate how this way of reading may add to a better understanding of textual play, applying a deleuzean understanding of affect in conjunction with the dialectic montage theory of Eisenstein.
